Abstract	Conducted two studies focusing on the development of a questionnaire for the assessment of teacher goals. The questionnaire measures 13 goal dimensions including constructs like teacher engagement, relationship with colleagues, consideration of student differences, relationship with students, career, subject knowledge, and student behavior management. Study 1 collected questionnaire data from 85 younger preservice teachers (mean age 27 years) and 217 older professional teachers (mean age 49 years). The results provided favorable evidence for the questionnaire's psychometric robustness. Exploratory factor analyses yielded three main factors, which are designated as socioemotional, task-related, and self-related goal factors. Positive associations emerged between teacher goals on the one hand, and teacher self-efficacy, self-esteem, and life satisfaction on the other. An inverse relationship emerged between teacher goals and emotional exhaustion. Study 2 collected additional data for 34 eight grade classes. Here, teachers' goals correlated positively with observer ratings of classroom management and learning climate. (ZPID).
