| Abstract | Recent advancements in immersive technologies such as mixed reality (MR), virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) have opened up new possibilities for users to interact with digital content in an increasingly natural and intuitive manner. Moreover, the trend towards mass availability of such immersive technologies for commercial use, the latest among all, the Apple Vision Pro, indicates increased accessibility of such technologies in the near future. Such technologies enable users to engage with digital content while on the go, simultaneously walking on the street or even working out at the gym. This symbiosis provides new learning opportunities and reinforces technological affordances that are valuable for enhancing skills acquisition in structured learning situations, such as deliberate practice and unplanned, informal and incidental learning.
