Abstract | Monitored long- and short-term effects of crisis-intervention counseling with hospitalized patients. When compared to a control group, counseled patients on discharge from the hospital showed reductions in anxiety and in indirectly expressed anger. Results supported the use of crisis-intervention counseling to achieve immediate goals, and for long-term positive effects. (BH) |
