Abstract	Die Bedeutung von Netzwerken und Kooperationen in der Weiterbildung nimmt immer weiter zu. Doch wie verändern sich dadurch die Organisationsstrukturen von Einrichtungen der Weiterbildung? Die erste qualitativ-empirische Studie zu diesem Thema analysiert die Auswirkungen von Netzwerktätigkeit auf die strategische, strukturelle und kulturelle Ausgestaltung von Weiterbildungsorganisationen und gibt wichtige Impulse für eine zukünftige netzwerkorientierte Organisationsentwicklung. Inter-organisational networks are playing an ever-increasing role in the area of further education. Due to the various developments in educational policy in recent years it is acknowledged that networks contribute significantly to the realisation of life-long learning. Related to this, the forming of networks also has organisational implications for the institutions involved. This qualitative-empirical study outlines the organisational impact on network participants, in particular in relation to changes in their strategies, structures and cultures. The study reveals that institutions involved in networks are faced with enormous challenges. It brings to our attention the problems that must be solved and describes which options the institutions have. The findings of this study are also intended as a stimulus for all organisations which are planning a network-based approach.
