Abstract	Dieser Band untersucht die sich wandelnde Situation junger Menschen in Europa im Kontext der Arbeitsmarktdynamik. Er analysiert die Umsetzung von EU-Maßnahmen zur Bekämpfung der Arbeitslosigkeit in verschiedenen Wohlfahrtsstaatsmodellen und beleuchtet soziale Ungleichheiten auf regionaler Ebene. Dabei werden die strategischen Entscheidungen der EU bei der Gestaltung der Jugendpolitik sowie die Entwicklung der Gemeinschaftsprogramme und ihre Zukunftsperspektiven dargestellt. Der Band vergleicht die wichtigsten Wohlfahrtsstaatsmodelle der Literatur, insbesondere das italienische familienbasierte und das österreichische konservativ-korporatistische Modell, anhand der Fallstudien Mailand und Wien. Aus vergleichender Perspektive analysiert er die Umsetzung von Maßnahmen zur Förderung der Beschäftigung junger Erwachsener, die Methoden der Unterstützung von Leistungsempfängern, den Integrationsgrad von Arbeitsvermittlungsdiensten sowie die Überwachung und Evaluierung von Interventionen und hebt regionale Unterschiede bei der Integration junger Menschen in den Arbeitsmarkt hervor. It therefore examines the EU's strategic choices in defining youth policies, presenting the evolution of community programming and its future prospects. The volume compares the main welfare state models in the literature, focusing in particular on the Italian family-based regime and the Austrian conservative-corporatist one, selecting Milan and Vienna as case studies. Specifically, from a comparative perspective, it analyzes the implementation of measures aimed at promoting the employment of young adults, the methods of supporting beneficiaries, the levels of integration of employment services, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of interventions, highlighting regional disparities in youth integration into the labor market. Il volume intende approfondire i cambiamenti in atto nella condizione giovanile in Europa, in relazione alle dinamiche del mercato del lavoro, indagando la declinazione delle politiche di contrasto alla disoccupazione promosse dall'Unione Europea in differenti regimi di welfare state e approfondendo le disuguaglianze sociali presenti a livello territoriale. Vengono pertanto esaminate le scelte strategiche dell'UE nella definizione delle politiche giovanili, presentando l'evoluzione della programmazione comunitaria e le sue prospettive future. Il volume confronta i principali modelli di welfare state presenti in letteratura, concentrandosi in particolare sul regime familistico italiano e su quello conservatore-corporativo austriaco, selezionando Milano e Vienna quali casi di studio. In particolare, tramite una prospettiva comparativa, vengono analizzate l'implementazione delle misure volte a favorire l'occupazione dei giovani adulti, le modalità di presa in carico dei destinatari, i livelli di integrazione dei servizi per l'impiego, nonché il monitoraggio e la valutazione degli interventi, mettendo in evidenza le disparità regionali nell'inserimento dei giovani nel mercato del lavoro.
