The book is organized chronologically, beginning with Notre Dame's earliest engagement with the Catholic Church in Haiti, to its most recent initiatives. Along the way, it weaves together the evolution of education systems with qualitative and quantitative evidence from improvement science research and randomized controlled trials, offering both historical perspective and data-driven insights. Neil Boothby is Professor and Director in the Global Center for the Development of the Whole Child at the University of Notre Dame, USA. He is an internationally recognized expert and advocate for children affected by war, displacement, and abject poverty. Kate Schuenke-Lucien is Director for Haiti and Senior Associate Director for Strategic Planning in the Global Center for the Development of the Whole Child at the University of Notre Dame, USA.
