Abstract	Education has been one of the long-debated issues in the Turkish community's six-decade history in Germany. This research focuses on one of the recently structured initiatives relevant to these topics, namely religious textbooks. The author investigates how Turkish national and religious self-images are produced and related in German-developed Turkish textbooks for religious education since the early 1990s. The focus of the discourse analysis is on the content and discursive strategies used in the construction of specific images of the Turkish religious-self in the textbooks under consideration.
