Abstract	In der sportpädagogischen Fachdiskussion wird der Begriff des agonalen Prinzips erstaunlich unkritisch genutzt, ohne zu beachten, dass ihm faschistoide Bedeutungsmomente immanent sind. Diese werden anhand der Originalarbeiten von Jacob Burckhardt, dem Schöpfer des Begriffs, erläutert. In einem zweiten Schritt werden die Programmschriften der AfD zu Bildung und Sport analysiert, um zu prüfen, wie weit sich darin die Sinngehalte des Burckhardtschen Begriffs wiederfinden. (Autor). The term agonistic principle is applied in a surprisingly uncritical way within sport educational discourse without realizing its immanent protofascist implications. The author explains these aspects with reference to the original publications of Jacob Burckhardt, who initiated the term. Then the author analyzes the AfD's policies on education and sports in order to examine to what extent they include the meanings of Burckhardt's term. (Autor).
