Abstract | Ethnographic projects in educational research have predominantly focused on examining local activities within microsettings, while the exploration of broader phenomena and their interconnections has received comparatively less attention. This chapter introduces constellations ethnography as a theoretical perspective for analysing larger constellations through the lens of educational ethnography. To achieve this, the chapter first establishes the foundations of practice theory. Next, it defines density and quality as fundamental components for determining the content of relationships within practice-arrangement bundles. Lastly, a mapping procedure is proposed for analysing constellations and their interdependencies. Through constellations ethnography, this chapter presents a novel framework for the practice-theoretical analysis of complex interconnected networks. |
