Abstract	Ein Schwerpunkt der Schulsozialarbeit ist die Zusammenarbeit mit Eltern, die standortbezogen in unterschiedlicher Intensität und keineswegs konfliktlos verwirklicht wird. Vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen Diskussion eines Konzeptes von "Erziehungs- und Bildungspartnerschaften" im Rahmen einer präventiven Gesamtstrategie wird Elternarbeit als Netzwerkarbeit in der Schulsozialarbeit erörtert und ihre Funktion hinterfragt. Working with parents represents one of the main focuses of school social work. Various forms and degrees of cooperation exist, depending on the schools' location. These cooperations between social workers and parents are by no means free of any conflicts. The article discusses parents' participation in the context of the current discussion about the concept of "upbringing and educational partnerships". On background of the development of an overall prevention strategy to establish networks the author explores the probability of this concept.
