Abstract | The following article attempts to analyze children's potential for emotional intelligence against the background of the human ability for rationality using developing theories and neuroscientific evidence. Based on the assumption that the concept of morality needs to be formed during an infant's development the article attempts to show that emotional intelligence depends on human rationality. Therefore the development of rationality is a prerequisite in order to acquire emotional aptitudes. This is why emotional intelligence among children needs to be questioned. (DIPF/Orig.). |
