| Abstract | German as a Foreign Language has received a growing interest in German universities during the last 20 years. Different forms of academic studies have been created in the universities with emphasis on German as a foreign language (GFL, Deutsch als Fremdsprache) and German as a second language (GSL, Deutsch als Zweitsprache). Focusing on concepts and contents of teacher education programms in GFL and GSL the authors present a documentation of recent tendencies in this subject in Germany. The authors propose a set of observations which need to be included in further development and evaluation in this field. (Verlag). |
