| Abstract | In Sweden several efforts have been made to reform post- graduate education since 1969, but in many respects this reform has not succeeded, according to the author. "In order to understand why this grand reform has not been able to re-shape the organisation of the post- graduate education in any substantial way, one has to look at the reform itself, its aims and the notions guiding the decision-makers".
