Abstract | The solid objects, kept away regularly to protect the school environment can be defined as solid wastes. This study aims to portray the aspects of the elementary school administrators relating to the recycling of solid wastes, developing and raising an awareness of teachers and students. This is a descriptive study and carried on with 11 elementary school administrators in a big city of Konya of Turkey. The results showed that, recycling of solid wastes is provided in the schools and required awareness is improved to create a clean and sustainable school media. The centralized management and local sources should be benefited to enable solid waste services effectively in schools and to develop projects. School administration, teachers, students and parents should make a contribution for the achievement of recycling activities in the schools. (As Provided). |
