Abstract | The aim of this study is to evaluate the new Turkish education program that has been being implemented since 2005 gradually in light of teacher suggestions. The study has been done in scanning model. In this study which has been conducted with the purpose of evaluating the newly prepared Turkish education programs, the program has been tried to be evaluated in light of Turkish teachers' opinions who serve in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in Primary Schools in the city Kayseri. The data of the study has been acquired through surveys, and a total of 270 teachers have been surveyed in 15 schools. The acquired data has been analyzed using the SPSS software, and relevant comments and suggestions have been made as result of the analysis. It has been revealed as the result of the study that teachers don't know the program well enough, that the program is no suitable for crowded classes and that the idea of structuralism through language instruction needs to be revised. Thus, it has become apparent that the program needs to go through revision in terms of its aim, contents, instruction-learning and evaluation aspects, and that it must be explained to the teachers in detail and the teachers must be assisted frequently for long-term periods regarding the application process of the program.
