AbstractThis study builds on earlier work by DellaVecchio and Winston (2004) and McPherson (2008). They addressed the seven motivational gifts Paul wrote about in Romans 12:3-8 as a means for addressing job satisfaction and person-job fit among college professors. Using a snowball sampling method, 89 college professors completed the online survey instrument that included measures of the Romans 12 motivational gifts, person-job fit, and job satisfaction. For the sample of college professors, results of the cluster analysis indicate two motivational gift profiles with all seven ANOVA tests (one per gift) showing significance. Results from the Levene's test indicated there is no significant difference between the two clusters with respect to job satisfaction or person-job fit. Additionally, results indicated there is no significant difference between "job satisfaction" scores of college professors with respect to gender or tenure; nor is there a significant difference between "person-job fit" scores with respect to gender or tenure. Practical applications of the study are discussed along with directions for future research. (Contains 3 tables.) (As Provided).
