Abstract | In this paper, I will present the main findings of qualitative research conducted in Turin, Italy, regarding the school integration of migrant students. The goals of the research were two-fold: (1) to outline the current educational situation of migrant students; and (2) to identify best practices relating to key issues emerging in national (and international) debates on migrant school integration. The main findings focused on: (1) the design of specific sub-policies aimed at different immigrant groups; (2) better support for immigrant families; and (3) bilingualism. (Contains 3 tables, 1 figure and 10 notes.) (As Provided). |
