Abstract	As a practitioner who has worked with youngsters with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) for the past 30 years, the author has done her best to stay current with the research literature on ADHD, particularly intervention research. However, she was always bothered by one nagging thought. Sure, there is good research to show effective interventions are available, but how hard is it to translate those carefully constructed research designs into daily practice in the real world? In this article, the author discusses four empirical articles that employed research designs in an attempt to replicate school psychology as it is more typically practiced. These articles still target the behaviors that get children with ADHD in trouble, either academically or socially, but they employ intervention methods that are more in keeping with school psychology as it is typically practiced.
