Abstract | Comparison of the Australian and British higher education systems recently converted from binary to unitary systems indicates increased emphasis on higher education as a national resource and efforts to enhance efficiency. The major changes made are outlined, similarities and differences are noted, and lessons learned from the change process are discussed briefly. (MSE) |
