Abstract | The corporate migration activity is designed to help students connect practical concepts of how language creates power within organizational structures. By engaging in this activity, students will demonstrate and observe how unclear language, (in)effective communication, and disorganization (re)create and sustain power within an organization. This activity further discusses modifications that can be made to engage students in concepts of power within organizations. Courses: Organizational Communication, small group, and business professional courses. Objective: Students will demonstrate how language creates power structures within organizations. (As Provided). |
