Abstract | It is imperative to consider the significance of intersectionality in social work practice and education because of its purpose of understanding and addressing multiple forms of oppression. This article proposes a tool, the Intersectionality Analysis Cluster, which could be used across the social work curriculum and various academic degree levels to engage students in activities and class dynamics that focus on intersectionality. This article provides an example of its applicability in the classroom and suggestions for its implementation and evaluation across the curriculum. The Council on Social Work Education's "Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards" are also linked to the proposed tool. Recommendations are provided to social work programs on how to address intersectionality inside and outside the classroom. (As Provided). |
