Abstract | Development of the innovative modular technologies to improve coordination abilities of young athletes using the method of circuit training is a pressing issue. The purpose of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of the modular technology for the development of coordination abilities of primary school age children regularly engaged in judo. 23 boys aged 8-10 years, attending the Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve "Ermak" in Surgut were involved in the study. The study was carried out in the premises of the laboratory of biomechanics and kinesiology of Surgut State University in 2013-2014. Each coordination ability contained educative and developing modules, 12 sessions long. The tests applied included balance, spatial orientation, differentiation, coordination of movements, tempo and rhythm abilities and response. The modular technology (MT) was accompanied by an improvement of all parameters of the studied coordination abilities of young judokas in comparison with the "post-MT" data of the experimental group and the control group (without MT), namely, orientation ability (8,06 ± 3,12 cm versus 5,34 ± 2,56 cm, p = 0,0074), differentiation (97,55 ± 18,9 cm vs 112,2 ± 9,85 cm, p = 0,0247), tempo and rhythm (0,74 ± 0,38 vs 1,05 ± 0,36, p = 0,0167), balance (15,05 ± 6,9 vs 10,76 ± 3,11 s, p = 0,0221). No significant changes were detected in the control group. MT promotes an increase of the level of coordination abilities of young judokas. The findings can be applied in the practice of coaches in sports institutions when organizing school physical education lessons. Verf.-Referat. |
