Abstract | This study wonders about the interest which carry the teachers of PES [physical education and sport] and trainers in the scientific knowledge. What are the scientific knowledge which they consider useful? [The author shows] that they divide into five categories and that they include scientific or scientifico-technical knowledge. Why do they judge them useful? [She shows] that the utility builds itself through the self-interest carried in these knowledge and their utility supposed for the practice. What are the means of access to the scientific knowledge. While the teachers remain very dependant on their initial training, the trainers have procedures diversified to acquire new knowledge. What is the shape and the intensity of the importance to the scientific knowledge? [The author defends] the idea that the actors are carriers of diversified projects. They form relations with the profession, in connection with relations with the scientific knowledge. These are defined by the shape and the intensity of interest carried in the scientific knowledge.
