Abstract | "The Civitas Association was formed in 1994 and aims to promote and foster civic knowledge, behavior and skills in the broadest sense. A primary goal of the Association is to integrate these studies into Hungarian public education in general and higher education in particular. The experts of Civitas have undertaken to create the form and substance of full-time and in-service teacher training in civics.... The project of the Association is in full accordance with the National Core Curriculum ..." One part presents the different areas of civic knowledge (history, tradition, values, democratic institutions, public policy areas).
