Abstract | This study aims at examining the level of need for cognition and metacognitive thinking among undergraduate kindergarten female students in Education Faculty at King Sa'ud University in Sa'udi Arabia from their own perceptions. Results showed that the need for the cognition level was moderate, but metacognitive thinking level was high. In addition, there were significant differences in the magnitude of the correlation between need for cognition and metacognitive thinking due to the academic level. It was recommended to employ challenging tasks in order to stimulate higher order thinking among the students. (As Provided). |
