Abstract | The video production field has evolved beyond being exclusively relevant to broadcast television. The convergence of low-cost consumer cameras and desktop computer editing has led to new applications of video in a wide range of areas, including the classroom. This presents educators with an opportunity to rethink how students learn video production. This article examines how video production education has evolved and highlights examples of how theory and technology can work together to create effective learning experiences for students. It also considers new possibilities for online learning through collaborative activities and streaming media. (Author). |
