Abstract | Describes the Michigan State University Department of Sociology's certification program in teaching sociology for graduate students. This program provides systematic preparation for university teaching and includes four components: (1) teaching assistant workshop, (2) seminary in teaching sociology, (3) sociology teaching practicum and (4) oral examination.
