AbstractIn their last column, the authors described a Gold Standard School--a place in which all children thrive including the gifted and talented. The Checklist for a Gold Standard School, which is included in this article, highlights the main characteristics of such a school including a focus on continuous progress, talent development, policies that remove the learning ceiling, and ongoing professional development. Envisioning the goal (i.e., a Gold Standard School) is the first step, but how do parents make that a reality for their child's school? In this article, the authors discuss the basic steps of advocacy. (Contains 5 resources and 1 online resource.) (ERIC).
