Abstract | Both greater access within institutions of higher education and greater access to those institutions are made possible through joint efforts. The success so many consortia have had over the past decades in providing more for less can and should be employed now to help provide more to more. Consortia have proven their ability to offer "institutions and programs that are more nimble, more efficient, and more effective" (Commission on the Future of U.S. Higher Education, 2006, p. 5). By joining together now in greater numbers and in expanded missions, institutions of higher education can once again respond to the needs and challenges of the day. (ERIC). |
