Abstract | This article presents this year's Top 100 institutions that conferred the most bachelor's degrees to students of color in academic year 2009-2010. It shows the total number of bachelor's degrees for a specific minority group or for total minorities, with subtotals for women and men in that ethnic group. The author also includes the prior year total along with two percentages: (1) the percentage of degrees in that disciplinary area conferred to members of the target minority group; and (2) the percentage change from the prior year in degrees conferred to the target minority group in the disciplinary area. The data for this analysis are collected through the Completions survey of the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Set maintained by the National Center for Education Statistics. The data are collected from all U.S. postsecondary institutions. (ERIC). |
