Abstract | Education for Library and Information professionals in managing the digital environment has been a key topic for discussion within the LIS environment for some time. However, before designing and implementing a program for digital library education, it is prudent to ensure that the skills and knowledge required to work in this environment are properly identified in order to enable informed programs to be developed and delivered. Hitherto, there appears to have been limited research which has included the opinion of both educators and practitioners, on this topic. This paper presents the key findings of research undertaken at Tallinn University in the first half of 2009. (Contains 4 tables.) (As Provided). |
