Abstract	Registered Apprenticeship has long been known in the United States as a great training option for workers looking to learn a new skill and become an expert-level crafts person in their trade. Be it traditional industries or those that are only now becoming better known, the apprenticeship model has long been part of the training strategies employers in the United States have relied on to prepare their workforce. Increasingly, this model offers workers a head start on their way to a lifelong career. In this article, the authors note that, even in these economic times, the Registered Apprenticeship program is a successful model that is giving thousands of workers high-level training in an expanding list of industries. They explore 50,000 reasons Registered Apprenticeship works. (ERIC).
