Abstract | This article presents a composite case study of a 45-year-old Caucasian male with anger as a presenting problem. Mr. P is technically self-referred but admits that he ultimately decided to seek treatment at his girlfriend's insistence. He reports experiencing frequent, intense anger episodes, usually occasioned by minor inconveniences. These anger episodes have been associated with distress and lifelong impairment in functioning in various domains, including work and relationships with family members. Mr. P has a previous history of treatment for general stress, although he states that he did not find this to be helpful. Current symptoms, relevant personal history, and details regarding previous treatment are discussed. (As Provided). |
