Abstract | Cognition offers a natural setting for the intersection of the research interests of both sociologists and psychologists. The study of cultural influences on automatic processing highlights the shared interests of social psychologists from both disciplines. In particular, the examination of subcultural differences in person perception is a promising topic for future collaboration. In this article, the authors focus on subcultural influences on person perception and discuss how subcultural membership influences person perception. (ERIC). |
