Abstract | As Lecturer of Speech in the Institute for Writing and Rhetoric at Dartmouth College, I have joined an ongoing conversation about speech that spans disciplines. This article takes a step back from looking at communication across the curriculum as a program and instead looks at one of the earliest stages of the process--conversations about speech with the disciplines. Exploring our meta-communication--our speaking with the disciplines about speech--highlights some of the discoveries we have made about speech through our conversations. (As Provided). |
