Abstract | The "Teaching Pyramid" (Fox, Dunlap, Hemmeter, Joseph, & Strain, 2003) is a framework for organizing evidence-based practices for promoting social-emotional development and preventing and addressing challenging behavior in preschool programs. In this article, we briefly describe the "Teaching Pyramid" as a framework for implementing effective practices in the context of a program-wide approach to behavior support. We describe a set of training materials and a fidelity measurement tool and discuss how they may be used to support teachers in implementing new instructional approaches with fidelity. Finally, we discuss other supports that teachers will need to implement the "Teaching Pyramid" practices and future research that is needed in this area. (Contains 1 figure and 1 table.)
