Abstract | This article presents the 2008 annual reports from the various directorates and offices of the American Psychological Association (APA). In 2008, APA continued to work on initiatives, programs, and products that lend value to the member's psychology career, support the future of their discipline, and serve the public. APA's goal is to strengthen the member's identity as a psychologist, support the member's connection to the broader psychology community, and help the member make an even greater positive impact on the people, students, and communities the member serves. During 2008 APA conducted focus groups and surveyed members to learn more about what they value about their membership and what they want APA to achieve over the next 5 years. (ERIC). |
