AbstractInvestigated the attitudes of principals, teacher educators, and student teachers regarding necessary teacher applicant characteristics and abilities. Survey data indicated that the factors teacher educators and student teachers considered important in the hiring process were similar to those considered important by principals. However, each group valued hiring factors that originated in their own environment. (SM)
