Abstract | Children (N=299) who had been interviewed about abuse were followed up by a search of juvenile court records 5 years later. Although no gender differences in overall referral rates to juvenile court were found, boys were more likely to be referred for property, felony, and violent offenses. Exposure to marital violence in childhood predicted referral to juvenile court. (Author/DB) |
