Abstract | Although the U.S. Supreme Court does not establish law the way legislative bodies do, it pervasively influences educational practices by interpreting constitutional and statutory provisions as exemplified in the top 10 cases listed, from "Brown v Board of Education" (1954) to "New Jersey v TLO" (1985). Runners-up are also listed. (Contains 66 references.) (MLH) |
