Abstract | The education of children in out-of-home care continues to be inadequately addressed across England and Wales, but a number of initiatives have been developed by local child welfare authorities to enhance the educational experiences of these vulnerable young people. This article identifies the difficulties and, from research data, outlines some strategies that have proved effective in ensuring educational continuity. (EV) |
