Abstract | The employment status of 420 francophone 1991 graduates from an Ontario French-language teacher education program found that after 1 year, 63 percent had full-time and 9 percent had part-time teaching positions. After 2 years, an additional 6 percent had signed teaching contracts, but 12 percent had lost their teaching jobs. One-quarter had failed to secure teaching positions at either stage. (Author/MSE) |
