Abstract | Despite general agreement that women and racial/ethnic minority faculty have qualitatively different experiences than white male colleagues, the literature reveals dichotomized research focus on organizational structure vs. individual experience. A study identified organizational, professional, and personal barriers to tenure and retention and analyzes differences in personal experience of them. (Author/MSE) |
