Abstract | This study presented a series of cognitive tasks of increasing difficulty to 27 children (ages 11 to 15) having bilateral, severe to profound hearing loss and a control group. Findings suggest that brain hemispheric interactions may affect cognitive performance in ways predictable from hemispheric-specialization theory and hearing ability. (Author/DB) |
