Abstract | Used 1987-88 National Survey of Families and Households data to examine the prevalence of successful reconciliations among 506 white women. Approximately one-third of women attempting reconciliation were still married more than one year after reconciliation began. Religion had strongest relationship with success of reconciliation, followed by premarital cohabitation, and age homogamy of spouses. (Author/NB) |
