Abstract | The claim that professional accreditation processes provide sufficient comprehensive information to systematically assess undergraduate professional programs is examined and found to be false. Illustrations of the issues are drawn from the case of a large public university. Recommendations are made for improving undergraduate professional program assessment, including accreditation.
