Abstract | This paper reviews procedures for involving adolescent special education offenders in the IEP (individualized education programs) decision-making process through structured pre-IEP conference interviews. The author states that specific procedures for IEP orientation, guided self-evaluation, and goal setting result in less hostile, better informed, and better motivated students attending IEP planning conferences.
