Abstract | After an initial drop, medical school applications have remained relatively constant. Male applications fell steadily while females' increased from one-fourth to one-third. Proportion of underrepresented minorities remained steady. Some 3.5 to 4.0 percent of classes were students either repeating, reentering, or continuing the first year of medical school. (MSE) |
