Abstract | The relationship between leadership and liberal learning is discussed. The education of leaders is seen as having become denigrated as elitist, and liberal learning attacked as useless and aristocratic. It is suggested that the goal of mass higher education can be achieved without abandoning a commitment to the education of leaders. (MLW) |
