Abstract | Black and White Appalachian children, matched for sex and Full Scale WISC-R IQ scores, were compared on their subtest scores. One finding was that the Black males scored significantly higher than the Whites on Verbal IQ, which contradicts previous observations of poorer Verbal Scale performance by minority subjects. (SJL) |
